My two obsessions have forever intersected - painting and surfing! I surf whenever it’s good enough but sometimes I just need to be in the element. It’s an “aqueous grounding” so to speak which is calming and tends to put other aspects of life into relative perspective. Painting and surfing are symbiotic. Paintings are like waves which rise to the surface again and again. Both are a process which requires balance, strength and perseverance.
